Our Mission
Landscape and Nature Discoveries, Inc. (LAND) provides outdoor educational experiences for children, encouraging them to appreciate, conserve, and respect their natural environment while cultivating connections within the community.
Founded in 2006 by Garth and Amy Seely, LAND is a 501(c)(3) organization committed to:
- Giving kids the opportunity to learn about landscaping, nature, and the environment
- Cultivating the natural curiosity and excitement within kids while providing a hands-on learning experience
- Making a visible difference in the community
- Exploring the interdependency between humans, nature, and the environment
Supported through minimal activity fees and private support, LAND makes visible differences in the community by helping its youngest members understand the interdependency between themselves and the environment. Through school-sponsored field trips, on-site activities, after school clubs, and community service projects, LAND kids are encouraged to become observers and guardians of their natural surroundings.
