LAND Board

The LAND Board of Directors oversees the operations of LAND to ensure it is fulfilling its mission. Our board members are very active in the daily operations of LAND through participation and volunteering in scheduled activities, making financial contributions, and seeking funding opportunities for the organization.

Board Members
Susanne Johnson has held the position of president of the Board of Directors for LAND since its inception in March 2006. Susanne earned a MBA from Babson College in 1994 and a BA from Dartmouth College in 1983. She is self-employed as an independent consultant with Arbonne International and previously was vice president of corporate marketing at Sunrise Medical Inc. Susanne is also actively involved in leadership roles with the Barnesville School Board of Directors, having served in a variety of key positions, including secretary, chair of the development committee, chair of the diversity task force, and member of the executive, governance, nominating, marketing, and finance committees, since 2002. Additionally, she has chaired both the athletics committee and the alumni trustee nominating and search committee within the Dartmouth College Alumni Council. Her current work with LAND centers on leading its Board of Directors, assisting with fundraising activities, and providing support for volunteer projects.

David Trybus serves as vice president of LAND’s Board of Directors and has held that position since LAND’s founding in March 2006. David is the assistant general manager with Arata Exposition and has worked with that organization since 2003. Additionally, he has also served on the Board of Directors for the Echo Hill Campership Fund. In his work with LAND, he participates in much of the fundraising efforts, board decision-making, volunteer projects, and site work.

Denise Habib is a member and the secretary for the LAND Board of Directors, having held those positions since its founding in March 2006. Denise holds a Master of Library Science and bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland. Denise has been a librarian with the Montgomery County libraries since 1988 as well as an active volunteer for LAND. Denise is a Montgomery County native.

Meghan (Meg) McBride Fultz recently accepted the position of treasurer for the LAND Board of Directors. Meg has been a member of the Board since 2008. She brings a wide and varying background of interests and skills. Her current full-time job is that of stay at home mom to her 5 children, two of whom are students of the Global Ecology Studies Program at Poolesville High School. Meg has worked as a computer analyst for a healthcare company, served as an officer with the FFA (Future Farmers of America), participated in cattle judging, is skilled in animal husbandry (rabbits), and has taken several horticulture classes.

Danielle Desoto

Stephen Poss has lived in Dickerson with his wife and 2 daughters since 1999. Steve holds a BS in psychology from the University of Maryland and a BS in occupational therapy from Howard University. He is a pediatric occupational therapist with a private practice in Bethesda and also works at Field of Dreams Therapeutic Riding Center in Dickerson. Steve is an avid outdoors man and an active member of multiple conservation organizations including the Izaac Walton League, Ducks Unlimited and Quail Unlimited. He was appointed to the Dickerson Area Facilities Group in 2007 where he continues to serve.
